PC VR connection for Victoria VR Metaverse
After careful deliberation, we have decided that the best way for our Victoria VR World to be experienced to its full potential is through PC VR, using a wire or wireless connection of your headset to your computer. Although initially you might find it limiting, this setup has a large number of benefits that allow us to deliver the best gaming experience to you.
First, a project of our size simply cannot fit in the Oculus Quest 2 or Quest 3 performance limitations. As much as we wish it could work, an open world of the scale that we are imagining is too large for this technology. In the future, we may be able to implement Pixel Streaming technology so that users with mobile devices can experience our world without a PC. At the same time, we anticipate that the standalone VR headset limitations situation will undergo positive changes in the near future. Nevertheless, having a larger memory size allows for extra processing power, which creates more complex and visually impressive virtual reality experiences with higher graphical fidelity and smoother performance. This increased graphics quality is a huge advantage. PC VR development allows our game designers to use the advanced rendering capabilities of Unreal Engine, creating a more stunning and immersive VR experience for our players.
This setup creates more opportunities for our community, allowing even more people than we imagined to be part of our world. Our players will be able to use different VR devices, including Oculus Quest 2 and any current and future devices that support OpenXR Standard. This means that we are no longer limited by Oculus and its current and possible future rules. These limitations include Oculus’s position against crypto. Better yet, if a player has strong home Wi-Fi, they will still be able to play wireless if their device supports this feature. The use of PC VR ensures that our world reaches a large user base of enthusiastic VR users who have this set up at home and are more likely to invest in immersive experiences.
With a higher memory size, extra processing power, increased graphics quality, and a larger audience reach, we feel that PC VR allows us to deliver the best possible product to our community. We are continuing to work to construct our world, and we are anticipating the day when you will be able to experience it for yourself.
